OUR VISION

The Transformation Revolution:

To see a generation of young people raised up, who are rooted and GROUNDED in love and the Word of God; A holy generation of modern day disciples who know who they are in Christ; the next generation of Transformers who are Uncompromisingly Unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

OUR MISSION:

To Equip the Next Generation of Transformers:

GROUNDED’s primary function is to EQUIP the next generation of young people with the truth of God’s Word for the work of the ministry; and to help them grow “in [the] knowledge of God’s Son, until [they] become mature, until [they] measure up to Christ, who is the standard. Then they will no longer be like little children, tossed and carried about by all kinds of teachings that change like the wind” (Eph 4:14, GWT) .

According to the Barna Research Group, recent studies concluded that there is no difference between the way our “born again” young people are acting from those who are unsaved! In fact, the research showed that 98% of professed born-again young people do “believe in Christ,” but they do not reflect Christlike attitudes or actions!” (George Barna, 2003, Think like Jesus).

God has given us an exciting vision; one that is certainly challenging to all involved. It points towards and highlights our mandate as well as the potential the Lord has placed within Grounded as a ministry to see a Transformation Revolution. This means that we deliver a Christ-centred, God-focussed message that is biblically sound and at the same time is real and relevant to those who are coming to Grounded.

Grounded is a “Relational young adults ministry”, rather than just a Sunday evening young adults group. We believe the way that we as a ministry can have a greater impact in the lives of our young people, in a way that can effectively minister to their needs as young adults, boils down to one word, “RELATIONSHIP”.

Grounded is held on Sunday evenings. We also have weekly cell group meetings.
